Accounting Specialist - Minneapolis, MN This is a full time,
exempt position Position Summary: This Financial Services
Representative and Business Development is an integral part of the
ADM Financial Accounts team and general business development for
all AS&O business units in the North Region. A core focus on
providing financing and accounting functions for our financed
accounts and business affiliates. This position will also be tasked
with developing process standardizations and business process
automation across the Financial Accounts team and various other ADM
commercial business units. Job Duties and Responsibilities: One
essential function of this role is providing outstanding customer
service to our financed accounts and accounting clients by
servicing existing clients and providing new processes to further
build efficiencies for both ADM and our clients. The other major
duty is providing business analysis and project development across
all AS&O business functions in the region. Other significant
duties are as follows: Responsible for preparing interim and
year-end financial statements for assigned country elevator
accounts. Includes minimal local travel to call on accounts and to
work on site. Also includes preparation of various reports as
needed by client or other financial intuitions. Responsible for
monitoring credit compliance with respect to assigned country
elevator financed accounts. Includes annual credit review and
credit recommendations. Promote new business where ADM services can
be used to enhance grain origination. Develop system processes that
will create additional efficiencies for the Financial Services
team. Build and present project and business development cases with
high levels of long-term strategic and financial analysis for our
Joint Venture businesses. Perform tasks as business analyst such as
assisting and making recommendations to improve day-to-day business
functions in various commercial business units of the office.
Assist in providing business returns analysis for various ADM
business units. Providing project return presentations for various
business projects. Job Requirements: Education: College graduate
with major emphasis in accounting, business, or agricultural
economics or equivalent. Previous accounting, business, and
financial analysis experience of 1-5 years preferred but not
required. Experience: Merchandising/grain background and
business/accounting a definite plus. Skills: Complete knowledge of
general ledger, balance sheets, accounts payable/receivable,
fundamentals of tax return preparation and various reporting
procedures. Understanding of grain accounting, grain futures and
grain basis. Computer skills and experience with Excel spreadsheet
and Microsoft word processing applications, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to interact with variety of personalities. Requirements:
