  • Job Type: Full time/ hybrid remote
  • Salary: $40,000.00 to $43,000.00 based upon experience
    Job Summary:
    As the Marketing & Communications Coordinator, you will coordinate and support marketing, communications and engagement strategies within the Advancement Department.
    How will you make a difference?
    Social Media - Manages organization's social media presence including planning, creating and scheduling posts in an effort to increase followers and engagement. Stays on top of social media trends and best practices when utilizing social media platforms. Assists team members with capturing basic photography or video as needed for social media posts and to supplement other written content.

    Writer/Editor - Assists Marketing & Communications Manager by contributing as a story collector, interviewer, writer and proofreader for newsletters, e-newsletters, award nominations, and other written internal and external marketing and communications pieces. Assists in developing content for web site and quarterly newsletter.

    Community Engagement - Coordinates and executes, both internally and externally, the participation in community and disability sector events to enhance the organization's brand, increase awareness, engage the community, and support organizational goals. Works to arrange staffing, logistics, displays or other materials needed. Serves as a brand ambassador at various events, and tracks and reports on event results.

    Disability Advocacy - Assists the Marketing & Communications Manager in following disability related policy developments through our trade associations and communicates action alerts or advocacy events/activities to staff and other stakeholders. Updates legislative contact lists and stays informed of new and/or changing legislative bills, resolutions and laws regarding people with disabilities.
    What will you bring to Opportunity Partners?
    • A bachelor's degree in marketing or communications or related field.
    • Minimum of three months of professional experience in communications, public relations, community engagement or similar.
    • Excellent written and communication skills.
    • A self-starter with initiative, curiosity and the desire to learn.
    • Enjoys working both collaboratively and independently.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills.
