Job Description Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Roofing Estimator/Production Manager to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing roofing project needs, preparing comprehensive bids, and collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and project teams. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing, effective cost control, and successful project execution from initial estimate to project completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile commercial roofing projects while honing your skills in construction estimating and project management. Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop precise roofing estimates. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed bid proposals. Conduct on-site measurements and inspections to gather accurate data for cost calculations. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms that align with project budgets. Prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs. Assist in contract negotiations and review contractual documents to ensure scope clarity and risk mitigation. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to maintain budget adherence and implement cost control measures. Coordinate with construction management teams to ensure estimates align with project timelines and specifications. Order the appropriate materials for the jobs. Schedule the work to be done with the crews and Site Supervisors. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating within the commercial roofing or broader construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction management processes, contracts, and project management principles. Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software tools. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to establish favorable terms with clients and suppliers. Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into roofing installation practices and safety standards. Familiarity with cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and budgeting for large-scale projects. Effective communication skills to clearly present estimates, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with team members.
