This position offers an opportunity to support student learning as a paraprofessional at a middle school located in Minneapolis, MN. This contract role spans from mid-February to early June, working Monday through Friday, from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, totaling 32.5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Assist classroom teachers in delivering instructional support tailored to the needs of middle school students Support behavioral management strategies and promote a positive learning environment Facilitate small group or individual student activities under teacher guidance Monitor and record student progress for assigned caseload Collaborate with educators to adapt lesson plans and materials as needed Qualifications and Requirements: Must meet the highly qualified paraeducator criteria by achieving one of the following: Passing the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam) Completion of at least 60 college credits with official transcripts attached (diplomas do not qualify) Prior experience working with middle school students is preferred Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff and students Willingness to become a direct hire with the district after 120 days of contracting Must confirm availability to work at the site located at 11301 Dogwood St NW, Minneapolis, MN 55448 Benefits: Contract role with consistent hours and schedule Opportunity to gain experience in a supportive educational environment Potential for direct hire conversion with the district Qualified candidates who meet the highly qualified requirements and can commit to the outlined schedule are encouraged to apply.
