Job Description:

Projects the candidate will be working on:

• 
  
• Modernization of existing Payment and Presentment capabilities and work on various new initiatives within the Payment Domain.
  
  
  Ideal Background:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Senior level Java Microservices developer, ideally with experience writing consumer/publishers for Kafka streams.
    
  • Proven ability to provide leadership to engineering team including defining / maintaining design patterns, providing direction, reviewing the work of others and proposing improvements, etc.
    
  • Healthcare background would be nice, but not must have. Cloud experience is required
    
    
    Top Requirements:
    
    
    • 
      
    • 8+ years of Strong experience with java micro-services, (using Spring Boot and / or Spring Batch)
      
    • 3+ years of Experience hosting micro services on cloud environment
      
    • 5+ Years of experience with database such as MySQL, Oracle, etc.
      
      
      Team and Team size:
      
      
      • 
        
      • One of the Payment Systems Scrum teams, with a size of approximately 7-8, including System Analyst andseveral System Engineers and Quality Engineers.
        
        
        Top Responsibilities:
        
        
        • 
          
        • Design and develop solution for the current project through cloud-hosted Java Microservices/Kafka streams
          
        • Mentor and guide developers on the team.
          
        • Hands on work with deliverables of java services, cloud solutions, data pipelines, Kafka streaming to implement solution.
          
        • Help create strategic direction for how to transform other components of the app using modern technologies (Kafka, services, Sql and NoSQL DB)
          
        • Help triage and fix issues with solution in Production
          
          
          Skills/attributes Required
          
          
          • 
            
          • 8+ years of Strong experience with java micro-services, Spring Boot, Spring Batch
            
          • 3+ years of Experience hosting micro services on cloud environment
            
          • specifically, experience in OpenShift / Kubernetes
            
          • experience with Docker container management.
            
          • 3+ Years of experience with Kafka Producer, Kafka Consumer and Kafka Streams
            
          • 5+ Years of experience with database such as MySQL, Oracle, etc.
            
          • 3+ Years of strong CI/CD experience, including building and deploying and maintaining cloud micro services
            
          • Jenkins

          • General CI/CD pipeline experience
            
            
            Skills/attributes Preferred
            
            
            • 
              
            • Strong Kafka experience - someone who can help drive and set architectural direction, designing a new system using kafka from the ground up and mentoring current team members
              
            • Knowledge of the existing -Health Care Platform team, infrastructure and processes is definitely a plus.
