you will make an impactAs the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you
will play a lead role in supporting the manufacturing requirements
of commercially released products as well as products in
development. - You will lead simple to complex manufacturing
projects by applying your expertise in manufacturing engineering
and help to convert device designs into process/equipment
requirements, then into tooling/equipment concepts and prototypes
and finally into commercial production. In this role, you'll have
the opportunity to:
- Develop manufacturing processes that are capable of achieving
design requirements from laboratory through to pilot line into full
scall manufacturing
- Coordinate efforts to design, develop and validate
manufacturing processes using tools such as Design of Experiment
(DOE), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Failure Modes and Effects
Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and capability
analysis
- Engage and lead multi-functional teams in Design for
Manufacturing (DFM)
- Create detailed project plans and manage the execution of
assigned projects
- Bring forward and deploy standard methodologies in
manufacturing engineering excellenceTo succeed in this role, you'll
need:
- BS degree in Engineering or technology related field with
minimum of 7 years' experience in medical device engineering (an
equivalent combination of experience and education may be
considered)
- Experience in manufacturing process development including
characterization, process optimization, validation and ramping
production for high-volume specifications in the medical device
industry.
- Proven experience in writing technical protocols, plans and
reports
- Validated technical expertise and experience in the
manufacturing and process development of biopharmaceutical
products
- Validated experience managing process/equipment IQ/OQ/PQ
validation, including test method validations
- Experience working with a variety of assembly, plastic
injection molding and machining suppliers
- Experience with equipment and tooling designs including machine
specifications
- Experience supporting/representing the
manufacturability/manufacturing processes for commercially approved
products, as well as products that are in different stages of
product development but planned for future commercial releaseIn

position is $92K - $125K per year. Several factors, such as
experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will
determine an individual's exact level of compensation. Base salary
is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme. Total
compensation could include bonuses, sales incentives, and equity
awards.
