Job Description:

Our client is actively seeking a Lead Structural Project Engineer to join their renewable energy team at either their Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI office. Their firm has a highly experienced and dynamic team committed to delivering top-tier professional services to their clients.Responsibilities:
Design
Leadership:
Lead
the design team, ensuring all projects remain on track.
Responsible
for structural design, including foundations and ancillary structures,
for utility-scale wind, solar, transmission line, and substation
projects.
Prepare
or oversee the creation of structural design reports, specifications, and
plans.
Review
and approve project submittals, RFIs, and provide field support during
construction.
Collaborate
with internal and external Project Managers on a day-to-day basis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's
degree in civil/structural engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
EIT/FE
or PE certification required; S.E. registration is a plus.
Minimum
of 2 years of structural engineering work experience.
Familiarity
with relevant codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318).
Knowledge
of shallow and deep foundations, including spread footings,
slab-on-grade, piles, and concrete caissons.
Proficiency
in connection and anchorage design (e.g., cast-in-place, post-installed,
welds, high-strength bolts).
Experience
with steel member design (wide flange, channel, pipe, plate, angle
sections).
Working
knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
Proficiency
in structural engineering software (Mathcad, STAAD, RISA, Enercalc,
LPile).
Bonus:
Knowledge of bridge design and evaluation.
Bonus:
Background in geotechnical engineering, solar and wind energy,
transmission, distribution, and substations.
Bonus:
AutoCAD drafting experience.
Skills

Sound
engineering judgment.
Effective
time and workload management, including planning, organizing, and
prioritizing.
Minimal
travel may be required.
