Reporting to the business segment Vice President of Global Human Capital, the Senior Director, Global Talent is responsible for developing and driving a global talent strategy and ensuring development of talent and leadership pipelines to support the growth of the business. This role is also responsible for connecting key enterprise talent initiatives into global strategies and execution as well as working closely with business leaders and market and corporate Human Capital Partners. This role will translate business objectives into strategic and actionable talent plans throughout our international markets, Global Solutions and the United HealthCare Global corporate team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops and executes a global, end-to-end talent strategy for assigned business segment inclusive of build, buy, and mobility strategies and tactics across all lines of business within United HealthCare Global Assesses leadership and key role pipeline health and works in collaboration with Human Capital and leadership teams to develop solutions to close gaps Manages the segment succession planning process to ensure ready-now successors for critical roles across all lines of business within United HealthCare Global Facilitates and supports robust talent reviews to continuously adjust selection and development for executive positions Partner with Talent Partners from across UnitedHealth Group to monitor and proactively build an internal executive talent pipeline Engages Talent Acquisition in proactive external talent pipelining; "recruiting without a requisition." Designs and monitors, in partnership with local Human Capital Partner and business leader, custom executive onboarding / assimilation strategies to ensure effective acclimation to their new roles Partners with enterprise and United HealthCare Talent office to design, develop, and implement business-specific, targeted leadership development programs Incorporates market group diversity strategies and goals into segment Human Capital plans across all lines of business and locations within United HealthCare Global Provides talent ramp up/down plans as needed including talent redeployment orchestration Leverages workforce planning analytics to create a clear view of talent demand (growth, business objectives) and supply issues (risk of turnover, retirement, and workforce mobility) and incorporate into talent strategy Builds career-development strategies and related programs for critical segment talent groups Participates in Communities of Practice and Talent Councils for critical talent segments Implement the Common Language of Leadership (CLL)

Required Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience 10+ years of experience in Human Capital in large matrixed organization with deep knowledge of business partnering, talent acquisition, executive-level recruiting, talent management, succession planning, talent development and organization development to build integrated strategies 5+ years of experience with deep knowledge of diversity and inclusion Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint Global experience Ability to travel globally 20%

Master's degree
Languages: Portuguese and/or Spanish
