Challenge yourself, your peers and our industry by shaping what health care looks like and doing your life's best work.(sm) The Organizational Change Management (OCM) position will play a key role in ensuring transformations meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing staff adoption. This role will focus on the Enterprise and people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize staff and minimize resistance. The change director will work to drive faster acceptance of change, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impacts staff. These improvements will increase benefit realization, value creation, return on investment (ROI), and the achievement of results and outcomes. The director will work to operationalize processes and create best practices across a tiered service offering to drive people-dependent ROI. This position will require direct collaboration and coordination with Leadership across the Enterprise. The change director will serve as a coach for senior leadership from initial planning through implementation to effectively integrate change management activities / standards throughout the project. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: * Draws on research, best practices and experiences and incorporates them into current and future strategies * Designs, develops and deploys solutions through ongoing analysis and connecting multiple data sets together to recommend action * Discovers the power pathways and navigates the organization maze to get things done * Work effectively with leaders at more senior levels * critical thinking to result in evidence-based consensus and effective judgement * Integrate and synthesize information in unique ways to provide new perspectives * Work collaboratively by building trust with others * Demonstrate resilience and resourcefulness * Demonstrate interpersonal agility * Set the tone and bring Our United Culture to life * Attract and select staff, structure roles and responsibilities * Monitor and measure progress against plan * Foster relationships with critical stakeholders * Install and support a talent management process that provides a continuous flow of talent to be leveraged for new opportunities and succession planning * Motivate and influence others * Drive and align change enablement methodology (Prosci) and toolset * Contribute and maintain the UHG community of practice for change enablement * Contribute and maintain standard benefits realization model * Provide consultative support to project teams on demand * Support and mobilize the change enablement deployment strategy * Create, document, communicate and deliver OCM roadmap, communication plan, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan * a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project * Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities * Conduct impact analysis, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders * Complete change management assessments and report results to senior management * Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics * Integrate change management activities into project plan * Evaluate and ensure user readiness and client objectives * Manage and influence client stakeholders * Define, measure and report success metrics and monitor change * Other project related duties as assigned You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience * 7+ years of overall change management experience in a consulting organization or in a mid to large sized Company (Commercial / Government Sector) * 5+ years of experience in directly driving change management initiatives within their organization or Consulting Company for clients in the U.S. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Preferred Qualifications: * Self-starter, resourceful; independently seeks and finds information, knowledge, and / or tools to complete tasks as needed * Prosci Certified, Prosci Train the Trainer Certified Careers at UnitedHealth Group.
