If you are someone who loves being part of a team that is more like a family and likes to work for companies at the top of their game, join Digital River.We are seeking a Director Global Expansion in our Minnetonka, MN office.What You'll Do Global Expansion Strategy/Execution Responsible for crafting and executing a comprehensive strategic plan for global expansion which will incorporate primary research on client requirements, as well as assessments of existing company solutions, and third-party solutions Leads the data gathering and analysis exercise to understand the tax, compliance, entity, accounting, etc. requirements for new country expansion Business case Development: work with revenue owners to create revenue estimates for new country expansion Acts as subject matter expert for all country specific requirements and questions, internally and externally and communicates on roadmap progress Manage Return on Investment (ROI), Profit & Loss (P&L) and success of country expansion from concept to launch through sunset, including incremental enhancements(Win/Loss analysis) Collaborate and coordinates with sales, marketing, IT and support staff to support product development and management and to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals for global expansion are met Establishes global expansion goals to ensure profitability, market share and realization of corporate objectives Prepare and communicate budgets, revenue forecast and projections Develop core positioning and messaging for the country expansion, including points of differentiation Assist with development of sales enablement tools and training Partner with Product Development and Engineering to identify, articulate and approve product requirements including country specific payment types as well as actively manage the development roadmap priorities People Management Planning: Define goals and determine the optimal course of action towards achieving the department/company goals Organizing: Develop the proper organization structure and chain of command which leads to organizational effectiveness and a high performing team Talent Acquisition: Attract/retain, Select/hire, and promote high caliber talent to achieve the objectives of the organization Coordinating: Communicate, supervise and direct relevant staff ensuring that leadership guidelines are in place to manage a function Talent Management: Establish performance standards/objectives and conduct ongoing performance review discussions to ensure each employee's performance meets set objectives to support salary action recommendations. Provide ongoing coaching and continuous training/development What You'll Need To Succeed Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of product management, project management, finance, strategy or related experience, ideally including strategy, financial analysis, business case development, compliance and logistics 7+ years specifically managing a function and the relevant staff In-depth experience in the global ecommerce market Demonstrated success defining, launching and growing strategic initiatives in new and established markets; thinking strategically In-depth understanding of operational considerations for international businesses Advanced communication and presentation and facilitation skills; extensive experience presenting to and interacting with executives internally and externally Demonstrated meeting management and group process facilitation skills Demonstrated proficiency in managing projects with multiple tracks Proficient with all aspects of the Microsoft office suite of toolsPreferredMaster of Business AdministrationWhy Digital RiverDigital River provides numerous benefits to our employees.
