We are seeking a Director of Sales in our Minnetonka MN office. What You'll Do:The Director of Sales is responsible for helping to identify, develop, qualify, and close new Clients in the assigned region across many vertical markets, including, but not limited to, software and digital services, and a variety of consumer and business product industries. This position will work with Senior Leadership globally to ensure execution against sales growth and performance plans. The Director of Sales helps to create strong organizational links between regional and Corporate goals and initiatives, ensuring the region/team operates as an integral and critical component of the global business. This position is accountable for regional/market net new revenue generation, team management and development, as well as the development and execution of sales strategies, process and activities.Drives Sales Performanceo Collaborates to establish and execute against sales strategies o Provides guidance to the Sales team in qualifying and advancing opportunitieso Oversees the assignment of specific territories and/or opportunities for the sales teamo In collaboration with the Marketing team, support in the creation of the demand generation plan and value proposition for targeted marketso Provide leadership on the progression of pipeline and opportunities to ensure Digital River has the qualified opportunities to achieve objectives at all timeso Review sales opportunities to ensure they meet pre-defined qualification criteria in order to maximize win ratio and value to the companySales Operations/Strategyo Manage budget and operational expenses for the specific region/teamo Monitor and alter plans required to meet performance against Sales goals and course correct as needed. Report progress against Plan for the region/team to sales leadership.o Oversee compliance with designated CRM tools across the sales team.o Help facilitate collaboration between the Sales team and other Digital River functions, including, but not limited to, marketing, partnerships, finance, product, and engineering, in order to drive for results and win new dealsTeam Managemento Planning: Define goals and determine the optimal course of action towards achieving the department/company goals.o Organizing: Develop the proper organization structure and chain of command which leads to organizational effectiveness and a high performing team.o Talent Acquisition: Attract/retain, select/hire, and promote high caliber talent to achieve the objectives of the organization. o Coordinating: Communicate, supervise and direct relevant staff ensuring that leadership guidelines are in place to manage a function.o Talent Management: Establish performance standards/objectives and conduct ongoing performance review discussions to ensure each employee---s performance meets set objectives to support salary action recommendations. Provide ongoing coaching and continuous training/development. o Succession Planning: Develops successors and talent pools for key positions.What You'll Need to Succeed:Required / Minimum: -- Bachelor---s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field-- 10 years proven sales experience in Fintech, SaaS, or related technology industries -- Integrity with CXO-level enterprise customers, deep solutions and selling experience and flexibility. Expert knowledge in the processes and requirements associated with managing a sales territory.-- Skilled at developing and implementing sales strategies.-- Professional image with advanced communication skills with customers, prospects, partners and colleagues at all levels.-- Experience driving adoption of a selected sales strategies and process; hands on experience using a common approach to managing leads to opportunities to closed deals.-- History of achieving company objectives.Preferred:-- 5 years experience selling solutions that help companies execute e-commerce strategies, including; payment gateway and processing services, fraud management, transaction tax management, compliance and security, and commerce platforms.WHY DIGITAL RIVER:Digital River provides numerous benefits to our employees.
