Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) The Director of Operations will be accountable for leading and supporting the configuration operations teams with process improvements, staff development, driving performance results, and assumes responsibility for critical projects and initiatives. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to and is accountable for the performance and direction through multiple layers of management and staff
  • End to end operational responsibility of assigned function with a critical focus on quality
  • Develop and executes strategies that span the business unit or multiple market sites
  • Direct others to resolve business problems that affect multiple functions or disciplines
  • Responsible for product, service or process decisions most likely to impact multiple functions and/or customer accounts (internal/external)
  • Utilize and improve the existing tools to measure performance and ensure consistent achievement of business objectives
  • Consistently demonstrate ability to succeed in a continuously changing and challenging environment
  • Develop innovative operational solutions and implement successfully to deliver results
  • Develop a climate for superior customer service experience
  • Lead initiatives and drive change throughout organization
  • Analyze and identify trends and provide reports as necessary
  • Communicate and collaborate within matrix environment, develops partnerships with key business partners, including, but not limited to:
    Claims Operations, Call Centers, IT, Project Management, Health Plan Operations
  • Employee development and engagement of direct and indirect staff
  • Ensure departmental policies and procedures are followed
  • Work with other operational teams and business partners to resolve operational issues
  • Identify issues that impact quality or productivity and works with others to implement improvements and sustainable results
  • Lead configuration teams in cross functional projects and achieve timely and accurate deliverables
  • Drive development of business plan and strategy, providing insight and recommendations while ensuring alignment to business goals and priorities
  • Participate in strategic planning and assists in developing specific plans as needed
  • Track progress against plan, identifies any deviations and suggests recommendations to remediate
  • Internal and external audit remediation oversight
  • Business Continuity Planning
  • Develop and facilitate performance report outs with internal business partners and Senior--Leaders - ensuring materials represent the key initiatives and the overall priorities of the business You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years of Operational Management experience in healthcare
    • 3+ years in a Director role
    • 5+ years in Medicare and/or Medicaid health insurance field
    • 3+ years of eligibility, provider data management, claims, and/or configuration experience
    • Intermediate level proficiency with PowerPoint & Excel

      • Working knowledge of Benefit Operations and Facets
