Leading a large team that manages the processes controlling unit cost and contract valuation analyses, you'll ensure that health care contracts are priced accurately and fairly for all involved.   • The position will be primarily focused on managing OptumRx's network discount guarantees to clients across commercial, Medicaid and Medicare lines of business
  • The position is a leadership role and will have direct and indirect reports spanning a team of over 35 pricing analysts
  • You are a change-agent and obsessed with continually enhancing the network pricing process, focused on delivering the highest level of quality and service to our clients and their members
  • Lead and/or become a key stakeholder in multiple high-profile cross-functional process improvement project
  • Partner with account managers and clients to continuously improve and evolve the customer service model with a keen focus on client and member NPS
  • Inform enhancements to reporting and pricing tools developed by the network pricing analytics team
  • Drive the adoption of new pricing tools across your team to ensure a consistent client and member experience for the book-of-business.
  • Partner with finance teams and other internal stakeholders to develop a holistic financial summary of client performance across OptumRx's book-of-business
  • Communicate anticipated off-performance trends to executive level stakeholders
  • Strategize on initiatives to mitigate off-performance
  • Measure and track the value of these initiatives and report progress to executives
  • Work with other network pricing teams to identify key drivers of off-performance and communicate to executives and upstream teams (e.g., underwriting and sales) so they can be properly accounted for in future contract negotiations
  • Meet with account managers and clients as required, partnering with other network pricing teams as appropriate, to present potential pricing strategies, explain complexities and drivers of off-performance or discuss operational challenges
  • Work with internal operations teams, taking an active role in the implementation of complex new business to ensure we are set up for success prior to go-liveYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:
    • 10+ years of analytical experience in financial analysis, health care pricing, network management, healthcare economics or related discipline
    • 5+ years of experience leading high-performing teams and engaging regularly with senior leadership
    • Experience partnering data analytics teams and driving adoption of new tools and technologies
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Visio as tools to help with effective communication
