As a leader within Naviguard, you can expect to be a part of a dynamic organization that is fast-paced and driven by our vision to promote healthcare affordability and accountability nationwide.As the Director of Naviguard Negotiations you will work in tandem with and under the direction of the SVP, Provider Strategy & Engagement. In this role, the Director will conduct business environment environmental scans, monitor market trends, evolving care provider responses to the environment, assist with or directly create strategic and tactical plans to support the achievement of Naviguard's mission, vision and strategies.Responsibilities:

  • Assist negotiation team to develop strategies, tactics and techniques to advance the frontline negotiation process;
  • Work with Provider Strategy and Engagement (PSE) leadership to develop, refine and implement strategic and/or tactical plans to reduce the cost of care provided by out of network providers;
  • Work with various cross functional teams to conduct analysis of root causes, reporting metrics, key performance indicators; create dossiers, and engage in other analytic and reporting development as necessary;
  • Assist arbitration and legal teams to develop strategies and tactics to advance and prevail in arbitrations;
  • Work aggressively and effectively to resolve gaps and issues and keep the department projects and objectives on track;
  • Work in a matrixed structure within PSE to support other teams as necessary;
  • Represent SVP of PSE in meetings and discussions as appropriate;
  • Participate in the board meeting preparation process, by synthesizing information and creating board meeting materials in collaboration with the CEO's office;
  • Develop and maintain internal and external business partner relationships.Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in business analysis, business administration, finance or related field
    • 5+ year experience in complex healthcare provider negotiation and contracting within a health insurance carrier or large, integrated, multidisciplinary healthcare delivery system
    • 5+ year experience of the healthcare delivery system with an emphasis on the out-of-network healthcare market landscape
    • Analytical and problem-solving experience, including ability to develop/recommend solutions through research and analysis of data and business process and implement when appropriatePreferred Qualifications:
      • 7+ years of combined experience in healthcare delivery system management, business and financial analysis, relationship management and strategy development;
      • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing at the executive level;
        • Proven management and organizational skills including coordination of project activities, scope management, cross functional issue resolution, and status reporting
        • Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability to work with minimal guidance, seeking guidance on only the most complex tasks
        • Possess advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
        • Ability to work collaboratively, diplomatically, and remotely with external and internal constituents
        • Purpose-driven with a strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments
