This new opportunity and role will be a key part of our Product Capability & Vendor Management team. Successful candidates will be motivated by serving new members and new growth opportunities, have excellent attention to detail and be able to collaborate across the organization.

This leadership position within the IEX Product Strategy and Implementation Team will work in a fast-paced environment and have multiple responsibilities working cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement national and market-focused product strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and is accountable for execution and program management of Product strategies and performance
Collaborate with others through matrix leadership to resolve highly complex business variables that affect affordability strategies
Provide product leadership and oversight of IEX product performance through collaboration across the IEX business
Achieve or exceed product growth and profitability initiatives
Predict emerging consumer needs and develops innovative solutions to meet them
Understand key competitor product strategies and profitability drivers
Think strategically and creatively, translating a vision to processes and product requirements
Manage cross-segment projects and initiatives that require problem solving, relationship building, influencing and analyzing

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree
4+ years of healthcare experience
2+ years of relevant experience in product strategy, product development and / or implementation, through addressing consumer segment needs and competitive positioning
Proficiency in product financial performance, including product pricing drivers
Understanding of member decision drivers and priorities to enable member uptake and retention across UHC segments - Medicaid and Small Group
Focused execution on improving Consumer Experience, reducing cost to help drive growth, measuring progress and results
Proficient in interpreting and analyzing data to support decision-making on pricing
Proven analytical skills and ability to review data and make fact-based decisions and / or recommendations
Demonstrated ability to develop product strategy that optimizes profitability with low margin offering
Proven attention to details and excellent communication skills
Demonstrated growth mindset for this new growing business and ability to be open to taking on new challenges and embracing them
Solid Strategy and Finance experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in business or public health
Individual Market, Medicaid, or Commercial insurance experience with knowledge of state & federal regulatory requirements
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence others to drive timely decisions
Solid communication skills (persuasive written, oral, and presentation skills) including leading discussions with Line of Business and Market leaders
Ability to balance strategic thinking with the urgency to drive work forward
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in work direction and able to pivot work accordingly
Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only : The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to $171,700. The salary/hourly range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $94,500 to $171,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
