Director of Research for Aging Populations (RAP) designs and
executes on research studies to explore how to improve the quality
of care for the 50+ consumer through better experience, outcomes
and affordability. The Director is responsible for oversight and
conduct of research of the highest quality. Work is conducted in a
collaborative, multi-disciplinary, academic/industry partnership
environment which requires appreciation of diversity of

tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:
- Independently design and oversee execution of protocol-driven
research and pilots; consistently deliver on-time, on-spec,
on-budget goals
- Lead RAP project teams to deliver high quality analytic results
that support the achievement of strategic objectives
- Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external
experts to support the RAP research agenda
- Advance dissemination of results via published manuscripts,
professional conferences, and internal presentations
- Develop strategies to advance the quality of RAP deliverables
and efficiency of RAP processes
- Support identification and acquisition of specific data
resources and technologies required to support a research
agenda
- Manage a team of senior researchers
- Mentor and train research staff as needed You'll be rewarded

you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
- A master's or doctoral degree in health services research
(HSR), health economics, epidemiology, sociology, psychology or
equivalent, or PharmD or MD
- 5+ years of research experience with claims data, EHR, and
other observational data assets
- Experience designing research studies involving collection of
patient-reported outcomes using survey research methodologies
- Experience conducting health economics, epidemiological,
comparative effectiveness, population management, or related
research in various disease or policy areas
- Demonstrated experience in data-driven research
- Demonstrated experience managing all aspects of health care
research projects including management of teams across multiple
functional areas
- Established record of independently designing, leading, and
conducting health care research projects Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven record of publication in peer-reviewed literature and
presentation at national conferences
- Expertise in a specific clinical (e.g., oncology,
cardio-metabolic, rare disease)
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, particularly
to audiences of varying skill levels
- Solid interpersonal savvy and the ability to build
relationships both internally and outside the enterprise To protect

Group's Telecommuter Policy. Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada
Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado/Connecticut/Nevada
residents is $113,500 to $218,100. Pay is based on several factors
including but not limited to education, work experience,
certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group
