Market Research Coding is the process of reading open-ended responses from surveys and grouping together similar ideas. The process quantifies the data to enable analysis.

The Coding Project Manager will have primary responsibility for all aspects of projects for assigned clients. This includes initial project set-up, communication with coders and clients throughout each project, working with coders to improve their coding/technical skills, and quality control on assigned projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and an ability to work under deadlines with little supervision.
Detailed Duties & Responsibilities: Essential Functions

Manage coding projects


  • Prepare job information for the coding staff
  • Build code lists using automation tools in the coding software
  • Provide code lists for client code approval
  • Communicate any new information regarding coding jobs and procedures to coders
  • Resolve/communicate issues as they arise during the coding process
  • Provide additional client files, where requested
  • Complete project billing information

    -
    Control Quality

    • Monitor general quality control of coding and code building via department procedures
    • Quality check coding staff
    • Ensure overall quality of coding upon project completion
    • Quality control for client-specific needs for current projects

      Communicate Internally and Externally

      • Communicate job status and completion with manager
      • Communicate job status with clients
      • Communicate job status with other departments

        Proficiency in all aspects of Ascribe coding software

        Positions Status:
        Full Time Non-Exempt - 40 hours per week

        Schedule:
        8:00 to 4:00, 8:30 to 4:30, 9:00 to 5:00 - Central time -
        Experience Requirements:

        • Market Research experience

          -
          Required Skills:

          • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English
          • Demonstrated attention to detail and good organization skills
          • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines and follow through on urgent client requests
          • Must be able to multi-task in a very dynamic environment
          • Positive, proactive, and courteous customer service attitude
          • High ethical and professional standards, including a commitment to data privacy and adherence to organization policies and procedures
          • Able to maintain confidential information
          • Successfully pass and maintain acceptable background checks and security clearances
          • Must be proficient in operating a PC, including copying/moving files, familiarity Microsoft Office programs and their functions
          • The ability to work with and lead a variety of people
          • The ability to take direction and delegate tasks effectively

              Physical Requirements:

              • Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to operate a computer.

                Equipment Requirements (if remote)

                • A fully functional desktop or laptop computer with Microsoft Windows 10 or 11 operating system
                • NO Chromebook, iPad, tablet PCs
                • High speed internet
                • Able to run Windows Updates regularly to keep system current with latest security updates from Microsoft.
                • Antivirus software. Only one antivirus program installed. (Avast and Kaspersky not supported)
                • Two monitors, one of these monitors must be 21" or larger.
                • If the primary work computer is a laptop, required to use an auxiliary mouse rather than the laptop touchpad and to use a regular keyboard with 10-key pad.
                • Remote Desktop Connection program
                • Ergonomic desk set up and quiet work location
