of Director Strategic Initiatives, Sales & Distribution will be a
central role on the Sales Strategy & Experience team helping to
oversee the implementation of new strategic initiatives across a
complex, multi-channel distribution platform. This role will use
data and insights to inform strategies and oversee how the
UnitedHealthcare value prop is communicated across sales channels
and throughout the agent experience. This will involve working
cross-functionally within sales and distribution along with
cross-functional partners to ensure consistency in the way we
market our brand and Medicare products to agents. This role will
also play a key role in supporting the development of strategic
summaries for both upstream and downstream audiences. -Primary
Responsibilities:
- Inject a fresh perspective into how the UnitedHealthcare value
proposition is delivered to agents and consumers, focusing on what
matters most to consumers and taking inspiration from tactics that
have worked in other industries
- Lead initiatives to develop, market, and sell the
UnitedHealthcare value proposition to internal and external agents
and distribution partners through communications, events, tools,
and resources
- Oversee development of National and Local Product Roll-out
strategies that align to business priorities, create excitement to
sell UnitedHealthcare Medicare products, and convey
differentiation
- Identify opportunities to transform sales and distribution
strategies through data, analytics, observations and insights. Make
recommendations on strategic priorities and develop executive
summaries that "tell a story" to create audience buy-in
- Drive implementation of strategic initiatives across sales and
distribution while partnering with stakeholders across the
business. Ensure alignment with Product and Marketing on
go-to-market messaging and tactics
- Cultivate a deep understanding of industry and UHC sales trends
and develop actionable insights through ongoing data analysis,
strategic research, and broker/agent feedback. Understand the
different needs, expectations, and pain points across sales
channels to optimize sales strategies and the agent experience
- Support sales initiatives to improve member retention and
deliver a more seamless member experience from the time of
enrollment to active plan coverage
- Deliver a distinctive, best-in-class agent experience that
fosters agent loyalty and creates UHC brand ambassadors through the
development and delivery of innovative, differentiated programs
that enable agent engagement and increase satisfaction
- Lead, develop, and motivate direct reports while demonstrating
and advancing our values of integrity, compassion, relationships,
innovation and performance

in.Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years marketing, sales, or business development
experience
- Ability to think strategically with proven experience laying
out strategy and developing consumer centric solutions
- Superior collaboration and verbal and written communication
skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills (identification of issue,
causes, solution and implementation plan)
- Innovative orientation and customer first mindset -Preferred
