The Clinical Instructional Designer will serve as an important connection between the UnitedHealthcare Community & State National Clinical and local Health Plan Clinical Operations teams to support best-in-class care management operations. They will work in close partnership with the Clinical Operations, Adherence Advancement, Capabilities and local Health Plan teams to help support success of the care management program.
This individual will be responsible for the development and maintenance of all national clinical job aids, as required to support case management within the local health plans. -A successful candidate will be knowledgeable of clinical operations and care management, basic project management skills, process documentation (i.e., workflows, process maps), as well as, working knowledge of training and facilitation solutions, tools, and materials. In addition, this individual must be effective with time and resource management, internal and external communication, building and applying technical and functional skills, as well as, solving problems.

Primary Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain the national job aids, as required to support case management within local health plans
Analyze Clinical business issues and needs, in relation to Clinical workflows and training job aid development, online and web-based training materials
Conduct ongoing evaluations and assessments to ensure effectiveness of clinical programs and recommending/implementing clinical training and job aid modifications, as necessary
Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, deployment of technology, and tool development, in relation to clinical training and job aids
Act as a liaison with other business segments to identify training and job aid best practices and technology solutions, as well as serve as the C&S Clinical training/job aid subject matter expert
Analyze business process information (e.g., metrics; analytics) to identify key issues, trends, and potential root causes (e.g., training issues; lack of understanding by user community) that point to improvement opportunities, in relation to clinical training and job aids

Required Qualifications:
3+ years of healthcare clinical operations or care management experience
2+ years of experience in developing, designing, and implementing training solutions and materials, such as job aids and workflows
2+ years of experience as a change agent with demonstrated transformations in training design and development
2+ years of experience with documenting processes, creating, and deploying process documentation standards, and process documentation governance procedures
2+ years prior experience managing multiple cross department projects with diverse needs and competing timelines
1+ years of experience applying a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative
Preferred Qualifications:
C&S Health Plan clinical experience
Excellent communication, time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills
Excellent Microsoft Word and Visio skills
Ability to adapt and excel as a team player in a fast-paced and change-oriented environment
Customer-focused; proven ability to handle complex situations, resolve conflicts and issues effectively. Sensitive to how people and the organization function.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $53,300 to $95,100. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $58,800 to $104,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
