In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing radioactive materials to perform diagnostic tests on patients, analyzing biologic specimens, and providing images, quantitative data, and patient information to assist in the diagnosis of diseases. You will work in a state-of-the-art medical environment with opportunities for ongoing professional development and research. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously to detect or treat diseases, using radioisotope equipment, under the direction of a physician. Ensure adherence to safety standards to protect themselves, their patients, and their coworkers from unnecessary radiation. Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment. Monitor patient during nuclear medicine procedures to check for any unusual reactions to drugs. Examine machines to ensure they are safe and functioning effectively. Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients and provide them with assistance during the test procedure. Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the radiologic procedure administered. Conduct research in collaboration with radiologists to develop new techniques or applications in nuclear medicine. Proficient in the use of nuclear medicine technology and equipment Ability to handle radioactive materials safely Excellent communication and patient care skills Analytical skills to interpret diagnostic information Detail-oriented with the capability to maintain comprehensive records Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or equivalent certification State licensure as required Radiation Safety and Handling Certification
