to the housekeeping/laundry department, scheduling of housekeeping
staff, generating resident housekeeping service bills, ordering
housekeeping supplies, resident's laundry, cleaning of all common
areas, offices and apartments. Able to market housekeeping and
laundry services to residents.Qualifications--- High School
Diploma--- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to show tact
and good judgment when dealing with residents--- Ability to
motivate oneself and work independently--- Ability to be flexible
and to work with other staff and residents--- Organizational
skills--- Maintains confidentiality--- Able to read, write, spell,
do basic math, speak and understand EnglishJob Responsibilities and
DutiesI. Function as the lead of housekeeping system for building
and residents:--- Provide clear and consistent scheduling to
housekeeping staff, receptionists and supervisor.--- Provides
proper communication of schedule changes to clients, housekeeping
staff and supervisor.II. Supervise members of housekeeping
department including:--- Train new staff according to housekeeping
and building procedures, expectations and clientele.--- Provide
quality control of existing staff to insure consistency and client
satisfactionIII. Coordinate the apartment "turns"--- Assure that
cleaning is complete--- Maintain tracking system of additional
chargesIV. Assist in keeping all common areas neat, clean and safe.
Cleaning includes but not limited to:--- Vacuuming hallways,
elevators and furniture--- Washing inside glass doors and
windows--- Sweeping and/or mopping floors--- Cleaning and stocking
supplies in restroom--- Dusting--- Rubbish/trash removal--- Washing
/ polishing woodwork and baseboardsV. Orders/maintains inventory of
housekeeping supplies. Annually meet with venders to assure best
pricing on supplies to stay within budget.VI. Deals patiently,
respectfully, and cheerfully with--- Residents--- Visitors (family
and vendors)--- Employee's--- Many InterruptionsDeals calmly,
quickly, and effectively with emergencies.Physical Requirements
(based on essential responsibilities):Must be able to frequently
perform tasks such as, but not limited to, those listed below:---
Bend and squat to the floor to pick up debris, trash containers,
and to use cleaning tools and products, etc.--- See objects within
35 feet to monitor work areas, i.e., determine areas that are in
need of cleaning--- Discriminate colors to read warnings, labels,
wires, etc.Must be able to continuously perform tasks such as, but
not limited to, those listed below:--- Move, push, pull and/or lift
objects weighing 10 to 25 pounds.--- Use hands and arms for simple
grasping, pushing and pulling to sweep, mop, use containers of
cleaning solution/chemicals, etc.--- Perform tasks requiring
actions of muscles or groups of muscles to walk, stoop, bend, lift,
and to carry objects--- Walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of
time--- Speak clearly and make self understood in face-to-face
interactions--- See objects closely to read directions,
instructions, chemical warnings, etc.--- Hear normal sounds and
voices with some background noise to receive verbal instructions,
answer telephones, communicate with others, etc.EnvironmentWorks
indoors in a climate-controlled environment majority of the
time.Working HoursThe work schedule and hours may vary from week to
