executing B2C member engagement email communications and web
microsites for UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual lines of
business. The Sr. Email Developer/Technical Architect provides
ongoing expertise to marketing teams regarding email marketing best
practices, data configuration and optimization, and digital
communication strategy, ensuring brand and CAN SPAM compliance,
accessibility, engagement, and maximum marketing
return-on-investment (ROI). You'll enjoy the flexibility to work
remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough
challenges. Primary Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing highly technical B2C member engagement
email campaigns in an accurate, efficient manner consistent with
marketing strategy, campaign objectives and digital/email best
practices
- Creating and implementing tools and processes that advance our
email marketing capabilities and strategy; interfacing with other
departments and external vendors with the purpose of finding the
best solution to meet objectives
- Creating data modeling, data provisioning, analysis, writing
SQL, writing AmpScript, writing complex responsive HTML for emails
and understanding the data ecosystem
- Work with both internal partners (Creative, Marketing, Product,
Legal/Regulatory, Data & Analytics, etc.) and with external vendors
(SalesForce, Adobe, Litmus) to build and execute effective and
innovative member email campaigns
- Job Role Alignment:
- 70% Development and execution of complex member email
campaigns
- 30% Assist with projects that advance our email program

- Ability to develop tactical plans that utilize data to develop
compelling, targeted marketing messages

tasks and quick manipulation and understanding of data
- Manage relationships and project work with internal teams and
external vendors to ensure stakeholder satisfaction as well as
on-time delivery of email campaigns
- Able to develop and maintain positive relationships with

matrix organization, as well as demonstrate effective
interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision; results

you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of email HTML and responsive design coding
experience
- 3+ years of experience with email marketing and databases
- 2+ years of experience managing and prioritizing several
deliverables
- 2+ years of experience with an email platform
- 2+ years of SQL, AmpScript, and data manipulation in email
- 2+ years of B2C direct marketing
- 1+ years of website development experience
- 1+ years of healthcare/marketing industry experience Preferred
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with developing highly targeted, dynamically driven
emails to be delivered across an audience or segment based on
preferences and attributes
- Experience with Exact Target/SalesForce Marketing Cloud (or
similar email platforms), including experience using data filters
and program automation
- Experience with email and web analytics/reporting tools
- Experience with an inbox placement solution, e.g., Litmus, to
improve email deliverability and increase email marketing ROI
- Coding for accessibility standards - W3C and Sec. 508
guidelines
- Creation of Cloud Pages or microsite pages
- Ability to consult on campaign optimization using data

Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington residents is
$85,000 to $167,300. Pay is based on several factors including but
not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In
