Responsibilities

• Conduct software development – design, construct, implement - using Java on an SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) application.
• Work in a dynamic change-focused Agile development environment
• Work within a highly matrixed team environment with onshore and offshore resources
• Ability to develop software in a rapid dynamic environment with an ability to create prototype software quickly
• Creation and maintenance of code and system design documentation
• Provide application support and systems maintenance for all application environments
• Actively work to improve application software and development techniques
• Willing to complete work in tight time frames, take ownership, and demonstrate commitment to complete work on-time in a quality manner.
• Working experience with REST, WebSphere, Java, XML, IIB or WESB or WMB

 
Qualifications

• 
  

• BS Degree in Computer Science or related experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Java EE or spring framework
• Strong experience of one or more ORM technologies (like Hibernate, JPA, or similar)
• Demonstrated success in building design patterns and software engineering best practices
• Experience with automated unit testing technologies (Such as JUnit, Spock, or similar)
• Good understanding of SQL, relational database modeling and design
• Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills
• Independent/go-getter attitude to keep yourself well-versed with new evolving technologies in application development landscape and be able to define how some of them can help in improving the work you are a part of now or in future
