Job Description Job Description Position Title : Business Systems Analyst II Department: Finance Reports To: Chief Financial Officer FLSA Status: Exempt Work location: Newport, MN Position Summary: The Business Analyst serves as a bridge between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring that organizational processes, systems, and strategies align with business objectives. This role involves gathering and analyzing requirements, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting the implementation of effective solutions to drive business performance. Assist in pre-planning and implementation of ERP system, including requirements analysis, configuration, and user training. Develop and maintain detailed process maps to document existing workflows and identify areas for improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements. Analyze and map current business processes, identifying opportunities for optimization. Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams. Support project management by tracking deliverables and timelines. Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to validate requirements and solutions. Perform data analysis to support business decisions and project objectives. Assist in user acceptance testing and ensure solutions meet business requirements. Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external audiences. Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Visio). Experience with business process modeling and requirements gathering techniques. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and a high level of organizational skills. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. 2 years of experience in business analysis or a similar role. Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Preferred Qualifications : Basic understanding of horticultural business operations. Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA). Basic understanding of process mapping and optimization (Six Sigma/other type of certification).
