Job Description:

The Weidt Group, a Willdan Company, is seeking a Software Account Executive to join our innovative and creative team. We have two growing software product offerings, NEO and B3 Benchmarking, that drive energy efficiency decisions in the built environment. We're looking for a Software Account Executive that can grow this Software as a Service (SaaS) business. The primary duty will be to develop, manage, and grow a pipeline of sales opportunities and deliver "closed won" deals. Ultimately, the account executive carries a revenue responsibility and is charged with increasing the company's annual recurring revenue.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and implement a solid sales strategy
  • Use a customer-focused, value-oriented consultative sales approach to educate customers on which products will best meet their business needs while building long-term relationships
  • Independently manage a pipeline with multiple prospects
  • Field incoming prospective customers as well as generate outbound calls
  • Make client site visits and presentations
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify and qualify new account opportunities
  • Expertly complete the end-to-end sales cycle from cold calling, scheduling and facilitating online product demonstrations, to closing the sale
  • Close business sales to achieve (if not exceed) monthly metrics
  • Utilize HubSpot, proposal tools, and other sales utilities
  • Understand customers' goals and requirements
  • Successfully hand off new customers to operations team
  • Ask customers for referrals to new customers
  • Communicate customer feedback to product and engineering teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong professional sales expertise to include the sales process and sales techniques.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales and revenue targets
  • Experience working with transactional sales cycles
  • Strong critical thinking skills and a creative approach to securing new accounts
  • Strong history of getting immediate results while building repeatable processes
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to a variety of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to identify new customers and grow existing ones
  • Ability to influence and motivate at all levels of the organization
  • Positive, highly self-motivated attitude with a dedicated, diligent, proactive, well-organized, detail-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with 5+ years experience selling software or SaaS in a B2B environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Hubspot or other CRM
  • Experience building a sales team
  • Experience with energy modeling
  • Experience with energy benchmarking
