* Trouble-shoot complex problems, research, and apply final solutions. This includes analyzing, testing or modifying computer systems/programs, consulting with manufacturers, etc. * Serve as a clinical application resource for customers and team members. * Provide application and basic technical software support to Vital Images customers and internal technical support engineer. * Demonstrates a professional phone manner and presence with a customer-focused attitude toward issue resolution. * Demonstrate ability to perform well individually and in a team environment. * Record all customer call activity in Vital Images call tracking database differentiating between complaints and non-complaints per FDA guidelines. Identify complaints that constitute potential hazards and bring them to the attention of the appropriate teams and leadership per Vital Images procedures. * Functions as a liaison between the system manufacturer and the customer, when needed. * Assist in creation of educational and clinical marketing materials. * Provide field and WebEx demonstrations/assistance of Vital Images, Inc. software products. * Provide support to Vital Images, Inc. Business Partners and for 3rd Party Product offerings for nuclear cardiology, nuclear neurology, magnetic resonance cardiology, magnetic resonance neurology, magnetic resonance oncology, PET imaging, Spectral Imaging, and cardiac ultrasound. * Interacts with cross-functional product development and continuation engineering teams to ensure customer requests are reviewed. * Capable of traveling to a customer site to resolve issues directly. Application Support Engineers can be expected to travel 10% of the time. * Application Support Engineers may be required to work on-call after hours.


* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Biology, Management Information Systems, Medical Field or related field or equivalent work experience * 5+ years of experience in a clinical and/or radiology environment * ARRT Certified Required in either Radiography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiation Therapy, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Sonography * Post-Primary required in either Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Cardiac Interventional Radiography, or Vascular Interventional Radiography * Experience using Vitrea or competing 3D post processing clinical application in the field preferred * Proven track record working directly with doctors, specialists, technicians, etc. in a clinical environment * Strong technical aptitude is critical * Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, including call tracking database entry, information sharing among peers, and customer handling.
