Primary Responsibilities:

Data Analytics

  • Coordinates cross team data research, root cause analysis and prioritization of escalated Lab data quality issues
  • Tracks cross team root cause analysis
  • Engages with IT teams to understand the end-to-end data flow process and business rules, including filters, transformation rules, error queue / exception handling
  • Engages with scrum teams, application SMEs, data architects to resolve data related issues and determine short- and long-term approaches to remediation
  • Develops mechanisms to track progress of longer-term remediation across internal and external programs and departments
  • Implements and improves data research tools and processes
  • Leads communication and status reporting
  • Presents written and verbal data and system analysis findings, to business and IT stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate with many levels of the organization, business stakeholders / SME, scrum team, system architects, operations, etc.

UAT Testing

  • Leads and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Creates test cases to verify business requirements are met
  • Confirms / identifies test data for test scenarios
  • Executes test cases and documents results of the execution
  • Documents defects identified during test case execution and work with developers on the solution
  • Identifies, documents, and resolves prevalent data quality issues
  • Works closely with business analysts, data architects, and subject matter experts to translate business objectives into practical data quality business rules / requirements
  • Validates that data systems meet design specifications and requirements using SQL querying of the data

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years UAT / QA systems and data analytics roles in software development and implementation support environments
  • 3+ year SQL query writing experience; Alteryx experience is a plus
  • Broad understanding of healthcare, data and their interdependencies and relationships
  • Experience and detailed understanding of healthcare data in two or more areas: Lab data, Membership, HL7, FHIR

The salary range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to 171,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. As of the date of this posting, In addition to your salary, UHG offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Health, dental, and vision plans; wellness program; flexible spending accounts; paid parking or public transportation costs; 401(k) retirement plan; employee stock purchase plan; life insurance, short-term disability insurance, and long-term disability insurance; business travel accident insurance; Employee Assistance Program; PTO; and employee-paid critical illness and accident insurance.
