Programming & Development - Minnesota, US Description Bolstered
by the support of HIPAA and Protected Health Information laws, and
future applicable laws, Health Care Data needs to be held secure to
ensure patient privacy and safety. - As a Security Process Engineer
at MEDITECH, you will serve as a subject matter expert to our
internal development staff and those who support our customers by
providing expertise on the complexities of security management.
Your role is to design and implement systems and procedures to
ensure our developed application and system level software is
secure. - As a member of the Advanced Technology and Product
Development teams, your job would involve:
- Collaborating with software designers, developers and testers
to test and monitor development efforts with the objective of
improving system security; updating current system processes; and
conducting risk assessments
- Maintaining knowledge of regulatory security requirements, and
providing expertise on the complexities of such programs, and
disseminating changes in MEDITECH's development strategy through
Best Practice documentation and educational opportunities for
product development security
- Leading initiatives relating product security, focusing on
several fundamentals within our software, (Data Access Control,
Auditing, Storage, Transmission, Least Privilege, Patient/Data
Subject Access)
- Ensuring adequate automated testing throughout the development
lifecycle and responding to any findings from external automated
testing and other penetration testing What You Should Have
- Bachelor's or associate degree, and 2-3 years' applicable work
or military experience
- High level of cybersecurity knowledge and awareness of industry
trends
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team,
working collaboratively across groups and divisions In compliance
