Our location in Minnetonka, MN currently has an opportunity for a Business Process Specialist .
Define, implement and support globally standardized Customer Service processes through Project management, Change management and Lean thinking.
Support the future growth of the organization by facilitating fast cross-functional change opportunities through increased process efficiency, quality and transparency.
Ensure maintenance and continuous improvement of the business systems, aligned with corporate ERP strategies.
Project Management (LEAN Six Sigma)

  • Set-up of project planning, close follow-up and implementation

  • (Global) Coordination of a cross-functional team

  • Progress reporting towards management and stakeholders

    Business and system analysis:

    • Guarantee integration of new business requirements (e.g. acquisitions), business processes and procedures into ERP and other systems:

    • Compose business requirements for enhancements to SAP and other systems

    • Compose business cases

    • Guarantee correct interpretation of business requirements by L3 and other functional areas by ensuring close follow up and interaction with respective teams

    • Execute test scripts related to fixes and enhancements

    • Assist departments cross functionally in aligning business processes with SAP and other functionality

      Implementation of new or changed business processes and training:

      • Ensure a smooth implementation of the project deliverables into the business through change management

      • Develop and maintain SAP & process training material for local and central use:

      • Standard Operating Procedures

      • SAP procedures

      • Training material

      • Organize process and SAP training for end-users within Customer Service

        Service function related to business processes and systems:

        • Daily handling and coordination of requests and inquiries from Customer Service (including investigation, testing and feedback to initiator), ensuring order to billing completion:

        • Ensure timely shipment and invoicing by fixing system errors

        • Timely completion of all inquiries

        • Periodical country visits to Abbott affiliates assisting in training, process analysis and business process improvements

        • Maintain interaction with L2 and L3 SAP support teams:

        • Address and close out remedy tickets assigned to the BPI team

        • Monitor quality of support provided by L2 and L3 team

        • Guarantee month-end support to Customer Service

        • Incorporate support of new processes as a result from completed projects

          Data maintenance and analysis:

          • Master Data - Timely and accurate set up and in coordination with all relevant stakeholders:

          • Material Master maintenance including Windchill approvals,

          • Monitor SAP set up and take corrective and preventive actions based on monitoring activities (open orders, blocked revenue, material master, customer master, )

          • Coordinate activities related to ad hoc requests (globally) such as ZFIN/PH changes

          • Create and maintain PPR (Product Partner Range) records ensuring approved shipments to end-customers

          • As part of the analysis define the necessary BO/BW reports and SAP transactions

          • Report on pre-defined KPIs. Identify appropriate actions when required and follow up on execution.

            Internal organization:

            • Ensure consistent service is provided to users by keeping all team members up-to-date on ongoing activities and establishing training within the department

            • Weekly submission of internal timesheets

            • Maintain, report and follow up on internally identified KPIs for the BPI department

              Responsibilities for all functions:

                • Bachelor or Master or equal by experience in relevant field such as: Business Administration, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Economics, Science, Engineering

                • 3-5 years relevant experience in an international environment

                • Profound knowledge of ERP systems (SAP is an asset)

                • Fluent in English. Spanish is an asset.

                • Excellent communication and training skills

                • Experience with common desktop applications (Microsoft office tools)

                • Knowledge of process (re)design and Lean transformation tools & techniques

                • Problem solver, fast learner and creative thinker

                • Entrepreneurial spirit and Customer orientation

                • Strong team player with supportive attitude

                • Strong interest in business and business development

                • Good understanding of information technology

                • Up to 10 % travel
