Our teams leverage clinical expertise, applied research and advanced data analytics technologies such as AI and Machine Learning to enhance business products and specific services.The Optum Labs advanced analytics healthcare data platform enables researchers and scientists to create and apply AI/ML to help solve healthcare's most complex problems. - It does that by democratizing and transforming the multidimensional healthcare data into common formats and systems onto which AI/ML models can be applied to create actionable insights that deliver improved health outcomes to customers. - In this role you work with analytics data warehouses, leading the migration from on-prem SQL warehouses to public cloud. You will be the strategic product leader charged with understanding the underlying enrichments and analytics embedded in our analytic warehouses and lead consolidation of the data pipelines, enrichments, etc. in our analytic warehouses along with a migration to public cloud. You will partner with our business teams, privacy & compliance, engineering teams, analytics and other end-users of our data products. You will have accountability for analytic warehouse consolidations, enabling implementation and delivery teams, and reducing total cost of ownership. You will be a data and analytics SME more so than a technologist.More equitable, effective, and affordable health care - that's our goal.   • Partner with our delivery leaders to understand the existing platforms and chart a plan for systematic consolidation of analytics warehouses, including associated enrichment and transformation processes
  • Lead our data science and analyst teams to rationalize data needs of analytic teams and consolidation of enrichments, transformations, data models, etc.
  • Develop point of view on how this should change with a public cloud migration. You will be a hands-on analyst/developer alongside the team
  • Develop roadmaps, manage backlogs, lead POC's, etc. to improve data processes, create efficiencies and deliver value
  • Partner with engineering partners to reduce/eliminate the need for manual intervention in routine ETL/ELT data operations and drive to end-to-end automation
  • Your focus will be on the analytic and data rationalization and less so on the technical/engineering optimization
  • Be a data SME across our enterprise data products and become our platform SME
  • Manage, mentor, and lead analysts, data scientists, data delivery teams, and engineers, who are part of our extended teamYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree
    • 15+ years of data analytics experience working with large, global, distributed teams
    • 10+ of experience managing data or analytic platforms with client delivery accountability
    • 5+ years of experience with downstream application of data and analytics (AI/ML experience preferred) in healthcare business and clinical setting
    • 5+ years of experience with deep healthcare data knowledge and understanding
    • Experience leading consolidation of data and analytics warehouses and processes (must have reference examples). Ideal to have big data and public cloud migration experience
    • Experience across multiple assets (e.g. administrative claims, hospital billing/discharge, EMR, inventory/supplies for healthcare, etc.)Preferred Qualifications:
      • Master's Degree
      • Exceptional critical thinking skills, including the ability to quickly assimilate new information
      • Background in the healthcare industry
      • Demonstrated leadership building enterprise relationships and driving business results through cross functional partnerships and relations
      • Experience managing multiple programs and projects simultaneously
      • Track record of taking ownership, acting with urgency, putting customers first, and looking into the future
      • Ability to build relationships, rapport, and embrace a team collaborated environment.
      • Ability to embrace changing environments, problem solve and execute results.
      • Experience with end-to-end program delivery
      • Experience leading teams and prioritizing deliverables
