If so, we are looking for you!Fenix Group SPC in Minnetonka, MN is seeking to hire a full-time Senior Staff Accountant to partner with the VP of Finance and serve as the team lead for our Senior Accounting Associates while leading department projects. This position will also play a key role in compiling financial statements and running month end while following all standard GAAP accounting principles. As a small company with approximately 150 employees, we are committed to our core values of dependability, teamwork, honesty, fun, and achievement.A Day in the Life of the Senior Staff AccountantYou'll spend your day completing a variety of tasks including maintaining fixed asset and depreciation schedules; performing routine treasury management functions; preparing journal entries to the proper GL accounts; performing monthly close & reconciliation of GL accounts; supporting sales tax filing; assisting with AP and AR processing, including serving as the go to person for questions from our Sr. Accounting Associates; reconciling bank statements & other financial accounts, including investigating discrepancies in accounts and making corrections as needed; and assisting with inventory costing and reporting. What You'll Need to be Successful at Fenix Group SPC

• 5+ years of accounting experience at the general ledger level
• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, particularly in Excel
• Experience in sales tax or fixed assets is a plus
• Experience with Sage ERP or other manufacturing integrated ERP systems
• A passionate and positive can do attitude, willingness to learn, to teach and to be a change agent within the company.
