The Corporate Receptionist is responsible for providing expertise and customer service support to members, customers, and/or providers. Direct phone-based customer interaction to answer and resolve a wide variety of inquiries. Responsible & accountable for handling the incoming calls to the corporate office for all the UHG entities.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have the availability to work the hours of 9:00am - 5:30pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 9700 Health Care Lane, Minnetonka, MN, 55343.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensures quality customer service for internal and external customers
  • Redirects incoming customer service requests
  • Identifies and assesses customers' needs quickly and accurately.
  • Solves problems systematically, using sound business judgment.
  • Partners with other department representatives to re-direct complex customer service inquiries
  • Administrative support for our Consumer Affairs teams and Executive offices.
  • Applies appropriate communication techniques when responding to customers, particularly in stressful situations
  • Consistently meets established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards
  • Keeps management abreast of all outstanding issues
  • Adapts procedures, processes, and techniques to meet the more complex position requirements
  • Seeks involvement in continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrates great depth of knowledge/skills in own function
  • Applies knowledge/skills to a range of moderately complex activities
  • Extensive work experience within own function
  • Work is frequently completed without established procedures
  • Works independently
  • May act as a resource for others
  • May coordinate others' activities
  • Attendance is a high priority

    Required Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
    • 1+ years of Customer Service experience
    • Experience with Windows PC as well as Microsoft Outlook (send / receive email, calendar management) and Microsoft Word (write / save documents)
    • Ability to work onsite at 9700 Health Care Lane, Minnetonka, MN
    • Ability to work from 9:00am - 5:30pm CST Monday through Friday

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • 1+ years of experience in an office setting environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties

          Physical and Work Environment:

          • Service center environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking, computers, and floor activity
          • Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods working at a computer
