We are thought leaders as well as design and development practitioners. The Learning Consultant role draws on the capabilities of a learning experience architect, instructional designer, and learning curator.You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. -Primary Responsibilities:

  • Learning Experience Architect
    • Consult with internal business partners on learning and development strategy, business needs, and performance objectives. Build and manage key relationships
    • Identify opportunities to collaborate with the business in designing and building innovative learning solutions for the enterprise, including capability academies and experiences driven by skills data
    • Contribute to the development of enterprise learning experience strategies. Maximize those strategies with learning technology (LMS, LXP, etc.), and consult with learning teams on the implementation of their learning experiences
    • Facilitate the co-creation and maintenance of learning experiences with end learners & stakeholders
    • Measure and understand the end-learner experience and seek out ways to improve it
    • Instructional Designer
      • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyze performance needs and determine learning objectives
      • Design engaging, effective learning solutions based on industry best practices
      • Develop learning materials in a variety of modalities (e.g., eLearning, microlearning, eBook, video, job aids) using standard development tools
      • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
      • Learning Curator
        • Drive the approach for connecting libraries of learning content to learning experiences, in partnership with stakeholders and end learners
        • Research and aggregate external and internal content and resources to meet varying learning needs and objectives
        • Distill curated content into simple and adaptable formats, and leverage technology (SharePoint, LMS, LXP) in serving up content at the moment of need
        • Maintain a catalog of curated learning materials. Actively monitor relevancy of content and identify significant internal/external trends in key topics You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:
          • Bachelor's degree in communications, instructional design, organizational development, training development, or equivalent experience
          • 5+ years of experience with adult learning design and development in the corporate setting, including substantial experience consulting with clients on learning needs and proposing innovative solutions
          • Solid project management skills and experience
          • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and learning development tools (e.g., Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.)
          • Knowledge of and exposure to current learning trends and best practices.Preferred Qualifications:
            • Master's Degree in instructional design or organizational development preferred
            • Experience with innovative approaches to curating learning
            • Experience using skills taxonomies and LXPs for the design and delivery of learning experiences at scale
            • Subject matter expertise in professional development and leadership development skills

The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600.
