The Maintenance Reliability Technician's primary goal is the
reduction of unplanned downtime in their assigned area of the
Minnetonka plant. They must ensure down day activities are properly
coordinated, that job plans and PMs are correctly written, and they
must work closely with Operations, Engineering, and CBM teams. This
role requires a self-motivated person with the ability to
positively influence others, support improvement initiatives, and
lead meetings as necessary to achieve the primary goal.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
These duties and responsibilities are not exhaustive and will be
supplemented as necessary.
Promote and demonstrate safe work practices in assigned area.
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of manufacturing and
support equipment in assigned business area of the plant - Membrane
Fabrication, Depth Filters, or Elements Assembly.
Own down day execution by collaborating with Maintenance Team,
Operations, Planners, Scheduler, CBM Analysts and Engineering to
ensure properly prioritized work is done correctly and is handed
back to operations on time.
Participate in MOC process, providing feedback to others and owning
MOCs where appropriate.
Ensure accurate and detailed documentation is put in work orders by
assisting Planners and Maintenance Team where applicable.
Evaluate Preventative Maintenance practices in assigned area and
make improvements through better documentation and documented work
Promote use of precision maintenance techniques and
support/optimize expansion of CBM technologies.
Teach and mentor Maintenance Team and Operations Team in area to
promote equipment care and best work practices.
Guide and assist Maintenance Technicians with Priority 1 work
orders if needed; Priority 1 work is not a primary focus of this
Be on call for area to answer questions. Assist 2nd shift, night
shift, and weekend shifts over the phone or in person as needed
with equipment problems.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' manufacturing and/or industrial experience.
Up to date registered unlicensed electrician (state of MN).
High School Diploma/GED
Certification or vocational degree in electronics/PLC, licensed
electrician, machinist, engineering, or other technical
