Responsibilities:
- Design, code and execute programs to extract, aggregate and
manipulate pharmacy and medical claims from various sources in
support of scientific and product development research
- Develop new and maintain existing SAS programs to analyze
healthcare claims to support ad hoc data requests
- Transform data and/or develop insights for use in business
decisions
- Develop methods, perform statistical analysis, and generate
reports to answer research questions
- Perform data quality control checks on code and
deliverables
- Participate in interpretation business requirements and create
technical specifications
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, ideas and information relating

in.Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Health Services
Research, Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health -similar; OR
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience
- 4+ years of experience programming in SAS (including proc SQL)
or SQL
- 4+ years of experience in health services research, health
economics and outcomes research, or similar research area -
- 4+ years of experience with administrative claims data,or
complex relational health care databases. Preference will be given
to candidates with experience using administrative claims assets
for research -
- Ability to recognize and solve technical problemsPreferred
Qualifications: -
- Experience in development of analytic plans and ability to
convert research protocols and plans to be programming
specifications -
- Experience working with observational data -
- Working knowledge of second programming language (e.g., R, SQL)

Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to
$146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is
$90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but
not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In
addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such
