Our Water Technologies Division is currently searching for a Quality Control Lab Technician at our Minnetonka, MN plant.



Essential Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Observe all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) rules, including housekeeping practices; participate in EHS meetings, investigations, and audits
  
• Proactively communicate and address safety concerns
  
• Monitor and verify membrane quality in accordance to quality procedures
  
• Maintain instruments and apparatus according to written procedures to support testing activities (UV-Vis, FTIR, Balance, Karl Fisher)
  
• Performs basic analytical laboratory testing, including titrations, spectroscopy and chromatography
  
• Accurately prepare, collect, and analyze membrane samples. Maintain accurate documentation of testing performed
  
• Perform troubleshooting to identify and correct root cause of atypical testing results
  
• Interpret results based on trends, specification limits, and comparison data
  
• Partner with R&D laboratory to transfer new methods to QC laboratory through qualification testing and or Gauge R&R studies, as needed
  
• Execute routine membrane characterization testing to develop and maintain analytical baseline of current and new products
  
• Contain, label, store, and transfer hazardous waste according to applicable regulations
  
• Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function with a team environment
  
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Qualifications/Requirements:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's or Associates degree from an accredited college or university in Chemistry or analogous degree (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution and Minimum of 3 years of experience in laboratory quality control)
    
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a laboratory setting

      • Demonstrated analytical method execution troubleshooting skills
        
      • Experience with analytical techniques such as pipetting, weighing, volumetric dilutions, and mathematical calculations
        
      • Experience with analytical equipment including HPLC, GC/FID, UV-Vis, FTIR, etc.
        
      • Strong oral and written communication skills
        
      • Proven analytical and organizational ability
        
      • Experience in Manufacturing or industrial setting
        
      • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Office, Word.
        
      • Experience with statistical software - JMP, MiniTab
