- We are looking for a Principal Data Analyst to join our newly
established team responsible for delivering Data and Analytics
capability to Financial.
- The ideal candidate will need strong interpersonal skills, a
self-driven data geek, who also excels in communicating and
building relationships with others.
- You need to be comfortable presenting to senior leaders, and
able to clearly and concisely convey complex / technical
information in a manner that others can understand.Ideal
Background:
- 10+ years of experience system analysis, analyzing,
summarizing, and presenting data; sound analytical and
problem-solving skills
- 8+ years experience in Data Analytics / Business intelligence
roles or similar
- 8+ years experience with BI analytical and reporting tools
(SQL, Power BI, Python/R, Tableau, etc.).
- Proven ability to work well and collaboratively, with multiple
teams or departments for business growth or profitability
goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to
translate complex analytic results into meaningful insight,
conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others
can understand.
- Experience n tracking, analyzing and data products modeling in
banking, account administration, health benefit administration,
payment, investment
- Skills in building roadmaps, prioritizing backlogs, lead proof
of concept, etc. to improve data quality processes, create
efficiencies and deliver high-quality data products
- Be a data Subject Matter Expert (SME) across their domain
portfolio and drive adoption of best practice data quality, data
governance and data management techniques across that portfolioTop

Responsibilities:
- Partner with Financial Business units to understand existing
tools and processes to define and execute an effective strategy to
analyze data
- Track, analyze and model data products and domain in banking,
account administration, health benefit administration, payment,
investment
- Work with the technical product owner to develop roadmaps,
prioritize backlogs, lead proof of concept, etc. to improve data
quality processes, create efficiencies and deliver high-quality
data products
- Be a data Subject Matter Expert (SME) across Financial
portfolio and drive adoption of best practice data quality, data
governance and data management techniques across that
portfolio
- Evaluate and quantify data issues, making recommendations for
data improvements including required process and system changes,
communicate value realized through data improvement efforts
- Predict emerging customer needs and develops innovative
solutions to meet them
- Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the
business
- Lead large, complex projects to achieve key business
objectives
- Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be
understood by a variety of audiences
- Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products,
and/or approachesRequired Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience analyzing, summarizing, and presenting
data; sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- 8+ years experience in Data Analytics / Business intelligence
roles or similar
- 8+ years experience with analytical and reporting tools (SQL,
Power BI, Python/R, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience in working with and analyzing financial data to
develop business insight and strategy
- Complex problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work well and collaboratively, with multiple
teams or departments for business growth or profitability

- Advanced proficient with MS Excel
- Proficient with SQL, querying complex datasets using SQL or
similar
- Proficient with Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (finance,
accounting, mathematics, engineering)
- Experience in healthcare data knowledge and understanding
across multiple data asset types (member, consumer, provider,
etc.,)
- Healthcare and Financial data and data models experience
- Proven commitment and desire to support client facing and
customer driven culture
- Experience working with MS Access
- Experience with Azure Cloud Service.
