as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze health care spend and utilization to identify key trend
drivers and perform root cause analyses to evaluate medical cost
savings opportunities Complete analyses to project/measure the
financial impact of initiatives Develop reports to track ongoing
performance of clinical programs Collaborate with the clinical
program team on appropriate data sources and analytic approaches
for identifying key trend drivers and evaluating potential
interventions to impact trends Communicate progress, findings, and
analysis in written, oral and graphical form Prepare exhibits for
presentation to key stakeholders, advance projects and transform
data into actionable outcomes Develop and maintain project plans
including written specifications of tasks, expected timelines, and
deliverables consistent with the team deadlines Collaborate with
internal subject matter experts to effectively expand team
capabilities and advance projects Anticipate customer needs and
proactively develop solutions to meet them Solve complex problems
and develop innovative solutions You'll be rewarded and recognized

as well as provide development for other roles you may be
interested in Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher
in data science, medical informatics, statistics, health services
research, economics, or another relevant quantitative field 5 years
of experience performing analyses and interpreting data to support
program ideation, design, implementation, management, and
evaluation 3 years SAS programming experience using Data Steps and
Proc SQL to extract and cleanse data for analyses Experience
working as an analyst for a managed healthcare company Experience
using large administrative and operational healthcare data for
analytic purposes Experience presenting analytic results Full

equivalent experience Advanced experience querying and integrating
large disparate data sources using SAS Experience with statistical
analyses Experience with analytical file construction, maintenance,
and governance Understanding of clinical management activities of a
large managed healthcare organization Solid project management

or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents
is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada
residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors
including but not limited to education, work experience,
certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group
