As an Actuarial Analyst on the Medicare & Retirement Part D
actuarial team, you will be empowered, supported and encouraged to
continue your professional development as you solve some of
UnitedHealth Group's toughest challenges. You will use innovative
tools including the largest database of health care information in
the world. You will find an accelerated actuarial development path
to support you in your continuing post-graduate education and
certification.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform data mining and analysis that produce pricing and
forecasting assumptions
Support ad hoc studies used to develop pricing strategies
Assist in the preparation of quarterly revenue and claim
forecasts
The person in this role must be located within a commutable
distance of our Minnetonka, MN office and be able to work in the
office at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Successful completion of at least 1 actuarial exam
Intermediate or higher level of proficiency in MS Excel; working
with formulas, calculations, charts, graphs
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ months of internship experience or work experience in a
corporate setting
Experience working in finance or the health care industry
Experience with programming in SAS or VBA
Proven ability to quickly learn and use computer software tools
effectively
Proven positive, motivated and team-oriented attitude

The salary range for this role is $58,300 to $114,300 annually. Pay
is based on several factors including but not limited to local
labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
